Looking for Hotel Corporate Rates? Here’s How to Find Corporate Codes

There are two ways to book a hotel room at a corporate rate: calling the hotel and asking for the rate, or booking directly on the hotel’s website using a corporate or contract code. However, calling the hotel may not always work as some reservation agents require a corporate email account to confirm the booking. If you are eligible for the rate as a contractor, supplier or customer, but not an actual employee, you may not be able to complete the booking. In such cases, it’s best to ask your contact at your client or supplier to book the room for you.

The more convenient option is to use a corporate code when booking directly on the hotel’s website. Look for a field called “Corporate Code”, “Corporate Contract” or “Discount Code” during the reservation process. However, getting access to the corporate code can be challenging as the information is typically only available to the travel department. If you are eligible for a discount, you can search for the corporate code online using search terms like “XYZ Corporation hotel corporate rate code” or “XYZ corporate rate HOTEL_NAME”. Google can be a helpful tool, as many online forums share these codes. One of the best websites to find codes is Hotel Corporate Codes, but codes are often easier to find using Google than browsing the forum manually.

Large corporations and hotel chains are the best candidates to find codes. It’s unlikely that mid-sized corporations have chain-wide agreements with hotel chains, so it may not be worth the effort to search for codes if you’re visiting a mid-sized customer. If your career is in technology, you may visit companies like Intel, Google, HP, Microsoft, Siemens, IBM, Oracle, Accenture, Dell, General Electric (GE), Honeywell, or Cisco. These large corporations are typically good negotiators of corporate rates and have deals with most of the largest hotel chains such as Hilton, Starwood (Westin, Sheraton, Four Points, W), Club Carlson (Radisson, Park Plaza), Marriott and Hyatt.
